Dr. McHugh is a licensed psychologist who provides individual therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Testing for children, adolescents, and adults at her office in Salem, MA.  Testing examines intellectual functioning, learning difficulties, emotional functioning, and personality style.  In addition to providing a diagnosis, testing will provide recommendations regarding one's mental health needs, including whether or not medication is clinically indicated, as well as educational needs and school-based interventions including the need for an IEP.  Emotional testing assesses issues such as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum, thought disturbance, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.

Discounted "self-pay" rates are offered to those without accepted insurance.  In order to keep your costs down, unlike many practices, Dr. McHugh will provide “a la carte” testing services.  By providing a more focused evaluation that concentrates on the specific areas impacting you or your child (and not additional services you don’t need), we are able to help you reduce the price of the evaluation, often by hundreds of dollars.
